The most challenging, intricate and largest piece I have created yetā¦
"Mother Figure" explores the ancient connection between the natural world & the unseen forces that protect it.

Close up - Fig buttresses full of micro-homes for many individuals - flora, fauna & fungi.
Close up - A Green Tree Snake (Dendrelaphis punctulatus) carefully climbs up an ancient vine.
Close up - A Major Skink (Bellatorias frerei) quietly moves amongst the leaf litter.
Close up - An Eastern Yellow Robin (Eopsaltria australis) has a watchful eye on the forest floor from above.
A watchful Red-Necked Pademelon (Thylogale thetis) peering through the foliage.
A Yellow-footed Antechinus (Antechinus flavipes) silently adventures over the fig root, surrounded by thriving fungi of various colours, scattered across decaying wood, leaf litter, and the base of the buttresses.
